Make sure you schedule your house hunting day as a one day event, make a day of it so you still remember whet the homes look like and stop for lunch to discuss your notes of each house, what made you feel this can be your home and what may not be appealing, and what compromises you are will to make. Rememebr homes are built already b someone else and you will need to feel creative to fit your family into the space. Take notes so you are not stresses if you forget something. This is the most important plan in your life, However, there is also so much you can do to put your own colors and funishing and the things that you like to surround yourself with. There is no such thing as the perfect home while you are searching. You make a desision to make it perfect your way. Relax and ejoy the search, once you get home after a nice dinner out, treat yourself to step away for a few minutes then look at your summary notes of each house, the exteror, the bedroom sises and bathroom counts, the ease of parking, the proximity to schools and transportation. Make your offer you best offer. Do not attemp to make offers unless you have studied your financing. Be realistic, make sure your monthly costs are in line with your budget. I know it's a balance act, but be prepared, Hopfully you did a dry run before the showing day. This will help you balance your needs and wants. And again if you get overwhelmed consult with your Realtor, they may have another prespective thet you did not consider before.
